If you want an easy, reliable reduce water staining without monthly salt costs, then template-assisted crystallization (TAC) may be the right choice for your home.  This new technology is rapidly acting on as homeowners don’t want to change the composition of their water but they also want to spend less time removing stains from showers and sinks.

TAC uses a resin to temporarily grab calcium and magnesium from the water and allow them to grow into crystals that are not likely to stain.

Disadvantages

• Water Tests do not show an improvement.  Since this technology changes the form calcium and magnesium without removing them, harness tests will likely show no change.
• Does not entirely eliminate scale.  90% reduction of scale formation still leaves roughly 10%.  If you need better results, a typical water softener may be for you.
